MozyPro Offsite Backup Services
(Short-term Data Retention Service)
TigerBytes offers a backup service called MozyPro.
This service is intended to be a more cost effective
alternative to a longer term retention backup system. A software package is installed on the server or desktop
computer and daily backups are scheduled to store your
critical data offsite. This product can also
backup your SQL or Exchange data without any extra
software needed. The last 30 days
worth of versions are kept and the most recent version is
kept as long as your account is active.
For every Desktop or Server that the
software is installed on, a monthly license is needed.
A charge of $2 per GB per Month is charged for the data
being backed up.

DataVault Offsite Backup Services
(Long-term Data Retention Service)
TigerBytes now offers a new offsite backup service
called DataVault. A software agent is installed on the
server allowing data to be backed up and stored offsite
at the NTG Datacenter (located in the Cox Technology
Park). The selected data is compressed and sent to NTG
every night.
The
DataVault service safely and securely transports
critical computer data to an off-site Data Center.
Through the security of the software and the reliability
of NTG's
Data Center, critical
files and data are impervious to destruction or data
attenuation. Vaulted files are,
thereby, highly-protected, even against a major
catastrophe such as a fire, tornado, hurricane, or
flood.
Because the data is stored off-site at a secure NTG data
center, the sanctity of a company's information is
always monitored and stored out of harm's way. The
DataVault offsite data backup process takes place
automatically and has a reliability rating of "High
Availability," which translates into 99.999% uptime (5
minutes per year of scheduled downtime).
Access to the data is via a web interface. Additional
backups and restores are handled through this
interface. Daily and Weekly reports will be sent via
email.
The
cost is by the GB that you store on the DataVault.

first month is FREE. This will give you
an idea of the total compression and an estimate on what
your monthly costs will be.
Since the data is highly compressed, you may be backing
up 30GB, but there may be only 2GB on the DataVault
The Standard DataVault
retention is as follows:
a) Daily backups are available for 7 days online.
b) End of Week backups (Weekly) are available for 5
weeks online.
c) End of Month backups (Monthly) are available for
12 months online.
Daily Retention 7 Days Online 7 Copies Online
Weekly Retention 31 Days Online 5 Copies Online
Monthly Retention 365 Days Online 12 Copies Online
(This translates into 24 copies of your data saved on
the Vault)
(This retention can be modified to fit your
needs...i.e., only backup once a week and keep for 1
month – a total of 4 copies saved on the vault)
TigerBytes would invoice you monthly for the total
amount of data that is on the DataVault. |
